Author Guidelines

Verbum is a scientific publication for research in Germanic, Romance, and Slavic linguistics (04H) and educology (07S). Verbum publishes authentic scholarly articles, reviews and overviews of new books and research, information about scientific conferences, seminars and other scientific events, translations of scientific publications. The size of articles is from 20,000 to 40,000 characters with spaces; the size of reviews and overviews is up to 15,000 characters with spaces.

Papers submitted for publication should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

They are reviewed by at least two anonymous referees following the double blind refereeing procedure.

Articles submitted for publication in Verbum should include the aim(s) and methodology of the research, give an overview of the work previously done on the problem under investigation, substantiate the achieved results of the research and have a list of references. Articles should contain abstracts in the language of the article and English (900 – 1,200 characters with spaces) with 5-7 key words indicated.

It is the authors’ responsibility to ensure that the final version of their paper is proofread and edited, and fully conforms to the requirements of Verbum. Contributions presented in violation of the present requirements will not be considered by the Editorial Board.
