Focus and scope. Informacijos mokslai is a scientific journal that covers wide range of topics from information and communication field: topics of information and knowledge society, its legislative, technological, cultural and economic aspects, information and knowledge management questions, theoretical and practical researches on organisational communication management, gender communication, investigations of media management, media culture, international and intercultural communication. Only original scholarly articles and surveys discussing all kinds of problems of communication and information, book reviews and academic chronicles could be accepted and published.

Publication frequency - three volumes per year.

Languages. The journal accepts articles in Lithuanian and English.

Charges. The journal does not charge article processing charges or submission charges.

Sponsors. From 2016 to 2019 publication is funded by the European Social Fund project Publication and Coordination of Scientific Periodicals (together with Lithuanian Academy of Science, project code Nr. 09.3.3-ESFA-V-711-01-0004).

Articles published in the journal are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license.

History. The scholarly journal has been published without interruption since 1994. In 2009-2015 publication was funded by the Research Council of Lithuania according to The National Lithuanian studies development programme for 2009-2015.
