Focus and scopeColloquia is published by the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore. Vilnius University provides access to the journal’s publishing platform and is not involved in the creation of its content.

The journal’s themes are original and previously unpublished recent research and theoretical works on the twentieth- and twenty-first-centuries literature, interdisciplinary literary studies, and reflections on the literature of the Soviet era. The journal also publishes academic articles, translations, archival material, discussions, and academic reviews.

Until the archive of the journal is fully transferred, the earlier issues (prior to 2014) are available here.

Frequency of publication. The journal comes out twice a year, in July and December.

Fees. There are no article submission or publication fees.

Languages. The journal publishes articles in Lithuanian and English.

Funding. Since 2016, the journal has been funded by the Research Council of Lithuania under the State Program for Lithuanian Studies and Dissemination 2016–2024.

Databases. Scopus, eLABa, MLA International Bibliography and EBSCO Discovery Service.

History. Colloquia has been published since 2006. It provides a platform for authors who analyze the history of literature and contemporary approaches, collaborates with researchers in other humanities. In 2006–2009, Dr. Loreta Jakonytė was the editor-in-chief; from 2006 to 2009, and from 2010 to 2019, the journal was run by Dr. Habil. Jūratė Sprindytė, and from 2019, Dr. Prof. Gitana Vanagaitė has been in charge of it.

We are member of the Initiative for Open Citations (i4OC) which is a multi-stakeholder project to make scholarly citation data openly available to enable the creation of new and better metrics.
We are members of the The Initiative for Open Abstracts (I4OA) which is a collaboration between scholarly publishers, infrastructure organizations, librarians, researchers and other interested parties to advocate and promote the unrestricted availability of the abstracts of the world's scholarly publications, particularly journal articles and book chapters, in trusted repositories where they are open and machine-accessible.
The journal is a participant of Open Archives Initiative. The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) is a low-barrier mechanism for repository interoperability.
