Focus and scope. The academic quarterly Politologija (Eng. Politology) is a peer-reviewed political science journal with the longest publishing record in Lithuania. It is the main academic periodical in Lithuania encompassing all subjects of political science and international relations as well as interdisciplinary topics.

Publication frequency. Four volumes per year.

Languages. The journal accepts articles in Lithuanian and English.

Charges. The journal does not charge fees for article processing or submission.

Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission of the publisher or the author.  Articles published in the journal are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license. 

We are member of the Initiative for Open Citations (i4OC) which is a multi-stakeholder project to make scholarly citation data openly available to enable the creation of new and better metrics. The journal is a participant of Open Archives Initiative.

Sponsors. 2019 – 2021 publishing is funded by the State Lithuanian Studies and Dissemination Program for 2016-2024 administered by the Research Council of Lithuania.

History. Founded in 1989 m. as Politika. In 1991 renamed to Politologija. From 1991 to 1998 was published two times binually. From 1999 is being published four times a year.
