This article examines co-authorship networks among Lithuanian sociologists. Using social network analysis, the study identifies the structural components of collaboration among Lithuanian sociologists and assesses the degree of institutional closedness. The aim of the study was to determine the extent to which sociological collaboration in Lithuania is inter-institutional. Collaboration was operationalized as the co-authorship of publications. During the 2015–2019 period, the number of sociological publications decreased, which may be explained by a twofold decline in the number of single-author publications. Overall, single-author publications accounted for approximately 34% of all publications during the study period. The analysis was based on data from 1,661 books and articles published during the selected period and classified as belonging to the field of sociology (S005) on the eLABa platform, where scientific and academic documents and their metadata are collected and made publicly available. The results reveal that sociologists in Lithuania exhibit a relatively high degree of institutional closedness in research collaboration related to scientific publications.
