Focus and scope. The academic journal Ekonomika (Economics) publishes original research, theoretical articles and economics and business related issues. Major attention is given to the articles, assessing and analyzing the current economy, sectoral situation and development of business strategies for local and foreign markets, which contributes directly to Central and Eastern European economic development. In addition, the journal publishes studies which are devoted to the practical regional economic issues relating to integration into the European Union, reviews new books and research projects, other academic topicalities.
Publication frequency. Ekonomika is published quarterly.
Languages. The journal accepts articles in English.
Charges. The journal does not charge article processing charges or submission charges.
Sponsors. From 2016 to 2019 publication is funded by the European Social Fund project Publication and Coordination of Scientific Periodicals (together with Lithuanian Academy of Science, project code Nr. 09.3.3-ESFA-V-711-01-0004).
Review. Papers are reviewed by at least two reviewers.

History. Ekonomika has been published since 1960, and was initially issued by Vilnius University. From 2009 the journal has been published in cooperation with Wroclaw University of Economics (Poland) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiyv (Ukraine
