The publisher of the journal is the Museology Department of the Faculty of Communication of Vilnius University. The journal is issued in an electronic format (PDF or 3D PDF). The use of 3D PDF technology is revolutionising the way in which the journal is published. Due to 3D PDF format, articles can feature not only static pictures but also visual and sound effects, virtual reality pictures, 3D scanning images and other multimedia objects. In terms of innovative technologies, the scholarly journal “Acta Museologica Lithuanica” is the only one of this kind in Europe.
